A Bespoke Guided Tour of Zambia & Zimbabwe with Sean Lues

A journey designed for travellers who value comfort, connection and true wilderness, this tour is hosted by Sean Lues, whose years of experience in these regions, and his passion for the bush and gift for storytelling create an unhurried, insightful experience.

Sean loves the natural world. Inspired as a young boy by wild animals wandering through the family farm in Zimbabwe, he grew up destined to become a safari guide to the great wild places of this beautiful earth.

Fast forward, and Sean remains fascinated by ecological links and landscapes and the communities around them, building his career leading and managing some of the most highly acclaimed camps in Africa.

This thoughtfully paced itinerary blends boutique stays with exceptional guiding, allowing time to enjoy wildlife at your leisure and savour warm hospitality. With seamless transfers and flexible days, expect fewer crowds, meaningful encounters and the simple joy of being in the right place at the right time.

- Tour Highlights -

Lower Zambezi National Park

Wake to coffee at your tent and set out at first light for your chosen experience: a game drive through winterthorn groves, a gentle walk (conditions permitting), or time on the water, a boat cruise or canoeing along quiet channels. Return for a hearty lunch and siesta, then reconvene over tea for your afternoon activity. As dusk falls, enjoy sundowners on the river and a relaxed night drive back to camp, followed by dinner under the stars.

Mana Pools National Park

“Wake to the valley’s dawn chorus and coffee. Choose a morning game drive across the concession or a guided walk (conditions permitting) to read tracks and signs at ground level. Kavinga’s photographic hide at the waterhole is a highlight, a quiet, close-up time with elephants, buffalo and a revolving cast of predators and raptors.

Hwange National Park

Expect elephant herds, giraffe, zebra and—if luck smiles—lion or wild dog working the open grass areas or woodlands. Birding is superb throughout (lilac-breasted rollers, kori bustards, bateleurs), and the mammal cast changes through the day, from plains game in the morning to elephant midday and predators as temperatures drop.

Victoria Falls

Let your guide lead you along the jungle‑fringed footpaths of Mosi‑oa‑Tunya, where the thundering pulse of Victoria Falls is felt in your chest before it’s seen by your eyes. At each hidden lookout, they’ll pause so you can soak up a fresh angle, rainbow‑laced Main Falls, the swirling cauldron of the Boiling Pot, the curtain‑wide Horseshoe. Your raincoat soon earns its keep as warm spray drifts up from the gorge, misting cameras and laughter alike.
